Carrie is Director of Nuclear Safety at DBD International and has over 20 years of experience in the production, management, and implementation of safety cases across the nuclear sector, including defence, decommissioning, enrichment, power generation and new build. She has provided strategic leadership and technical oversight of complex and nationally significant programmes, leading multidisciplinary teams delivering safety solutions across a wide range of nuclear facilities and operations. Her career has encompassed technical leadership of nuclear safety and assurance activities, regulatory engagement, governance and strategic advisory roles, during which she has developed pragmatic approaches to nuclear safety and risk-informed decision making that maintain compliance and safety performance whilst enabling efficient programme delivery. She has a MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, both from Cardiff University.
