Steve Napier is the Senior Technical Advisor at NIRO and a senior advisor to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
At NIRO, Steve supports the SICE team within DESNZ in promoting and strengthening UK international technical relations in Europe and the United States. Steve is a constant figure at international meetings and conferences, regularly representing the UK and providing plenary speeches. Steve has over 49 years of nuclear industry experience working in analytical radiochemistry, nuclear safeguards equipment development, through to change and operations management in nuclear reactor, fuel research and development.
Steve is a chartered chemist with a degree in chemistry from the University of Central Lancashire and is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
