Nuclear Third Party Liability for Advanced Nuclear Technologies: Open Call for Evidence

The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is calling for evidence on approaches for applying Nuclear Third Party Liability arrangements to Small and Advanced Modular Reactors.

Nuclear Third Party Liability (NTPL) treaties are international agreements which guarantee that in the unlikely circumstance of a nuclear incident compensation will be available to victims and the claims will be channelled appropriately to the operator of a nuclear installation and the jurisdiction in which the incident occurred.
