The Chancellor of the Exchequer has written an open letter to industry and regulatory leaders, emphasising the need for change at all levels within the sector. More specifically the letter focuses on the need to strip away duplicative process, overly complex guidance, rules and regulations and for assessment to be made on the way organisations approach risk management. Recipients have been requested to respond to the letter within six months, setting out plans to implement the required changes.
